Start Small

Comfort Zone X: Between the needs of displaced people and disaster recovery I believe that a small scale easily deployable Transitional Shelter seems like a good place to start. If we can pack everything needed into a small living platform that should be useful to many people in transition, we can then scale up to apply it to full scale "forever" homes and community based living models.

COMFORT ZONE X – TRANSITIONAL SHELTER (PROJECT NUMERO UNO)
- 3D PRINTED
- SOLAR POWERED
- WATER CATCH & WEIGHTED
- AIR FURNITURE
- BUILT-IN FEATURES (POWER/SHELVES/HEAT/COOL)

Foreign and Out-of-Stater's: This is where you come in!

Stage 1 Data: Worldwide Earth Data Integrity Project (WEDIP)- Let's start with a good set of data and see what emerges once we get to analyze it later on.
WEDIP Spreadsheet: Overview below. Click on chart guy to open .xlsx spreadsheet to enter data. Save it to you system for now to complete and later submit.

Data 1: Annual energy use and costs (electric/hot water/heating/cooling).
Data 2: Local community factors (climate? (seasonal temperatures), trees? (type, height), clean water ways? worst weather patterns, recent disasters)
Data 3: Resources (water use and cost, food grown locally?, application potential of solar/wind/micro-hydro/wood power)

WEDIP Database: [In process - will provide an alternate "on-line" way to enter, manage and analyze your data.]

In-Stater's (and anyone else interested): This is where you come in!

Stage 1 Opportunities: These are the major concepts for areas in this field that I believe could be done better.
Opportunity 1: Innovation - Kinetic Energy Storage (batteries create a disposal problem).
Opportunity 2: Design & development - Automation of lots of things - being "resourceful" should not be inconvenient. IoT (Internet of Things) is the bright shiny object widely discussed right now.
Opportunity 3: Hardcore - Utilization of superconductors in power products. About a decade ago there was lots of buzz of the promise of superconductors becoming commercially feasible for all kinds of applications. They are essential for MRI's but little else that I know of. Casual/curserary research found that the technology has advanced greatly.
Opportunity 4: Coding - Automate this websites ability to accept and analyze WEDIP info via SQL database.
Opportunity 5: Robotics - Tree-hugger for treetop deployment of things. It climbs up, it deploys or retrieves, it climbs down.

Stage 2 Feasibility studies: Stay tuned.
Stage 3 Define System Interfaces: Stay tuned.
Stage 4 Design: Stay tuned.
Stage 5 Implement: Stay tuned.
Stage 6 Test & Document Systems: Stay tuned.
